Melissa Riopka anchors WHNT News 19 this Morning with Steve Johnson. You can catch them every morning, alongside meteorologist Ben Smith, from 4:30-7:00 AM. She also anchors WHNT News 19 at Noon. According to Melissa, working with her teammates Steve and Ben makes that 1:30 AM alarm a little bit easier to take. 

Adding to the adventure, she’s also a mom of two and a caregiver. In this episode, we are excited to talk with Melissa about her work at WHNT News 19, how she balances work with family time, and what a day in the life of a news anchor looks like off-air.
